How to install an implant library in exocad exoplan

Implant libraries for exocad exoplan come as an archive with implant, abutment and sleeve geometry for a specific brand. For the brand to appear during planning, the library must be placed into the exocad libraries folder and the program restarted.

Steps

1. Click “Download” on the library page — a Telegram post with the attached file opens. Save the archive.

2. Unzip the archive (usually .zip). Inside is a folder named after the brand/line with the library files.

3. Place the library folder into the exocad implant library directory (typically …/exocad/DentalDB/lib/implant or the path set in your exoplan installation).

4. Fully restart exocad/exoplan so it re-indexes the libraries.

5. When creating a guided surgery project, pick the brand and line from the list — they appear if the library is installed correctly.

If the brand doesn't appear

Make sure you placed the library folder itself (not a nested folder inside it) and that the path matches your exocad settings. A restart is required. Need help — contact us on Telegram or WhatsApp; we install any version.
