Straumann Variobase centralized milling is an exocad DentalCAD library configured for cases that will be produced at a centralised milling facility on the Straumann Variobase interface. The geometries describe the Variobase mating surface that the central CAM workflow expects, so the designed restoration fits the manufactured titanium base.
In DentalCAD it is selected during the implant project definition, after which the user follows the regular crown, bridge or hybrid abutment workflow. The library can be downloaded from the catalogue without restrictions on its use in projects targeted at central milling.
It is aimed at dental technicians who outsource milling but still control prosthetic design in their own CAD seat. Particularly useful when standardising digital workflows across multiple Variobase indications.
