The Straumann bs 2gen centralized library is used inside exocad DentalCAD to design implant-supported restorations on the matching Straumann data set. In the implant workflow the technician assigns the library to the relevant implant position, after which crowns, bridges or hybrid reconstructions can be modelled with the correct interface reference.

The centralized organization of the dataset is convenient for labs that want a consistent, unified base for their digital restorations. As the focus is on the implant geometry, the library can be combined with additional Straumann component libraries to cover broader restorative scenarios, both cement- and screw-retained.
