PDL CatBack1 5.4 is a tooth anatomy library by PDL for exocad DentalCAD and represents the most mature point of the 5.x CatBack1 branch. The morphology has been cleaned up so that exocad can morph it onto the preparation with minimal distortion of cusps and fissures.

Once loaded as the reference tooth, it adapts to antagonist contacts, occlusal plane and neighbouring teeth, after which the technician applies any free-form corrections needed for the case. Anterior teeth keep a natural incisal silhouette while posteriors offer a controlled occlusal table that mills cleanly in zirconia and lithium disilicate.

It is a sensible default for labs that want a refined, modern posterior look across daily crown and bridge production. The library is available for download and use inside DentalCAD.
