PDL CatBack1 0.3 is a transitional release in the CatBack1 anatomy line developed by PDL for exocad DentalCAD. The library carries a coherent set of upper and lower tooth shapes that DentalCAD applies as the starting morphology for crowns, bridge units and full-contour restorations.
During design the technician picks CatBack1 0.3 from the morphology list, lets the software match it to the preparation, and then refines occlusion, proximal contacts and surface detail. The 0.3 stage typically introduces subtle adjustments over previous revisions and is interesting for technicians who like to compare iterative changes within the same anatomy family.
It is suitable both for single-unit crowns and for longer span restorative work where a consistent look across teeth is important. The library is available to download. It can sit alongside other PDL morphologies in the same working environment.
