Other SAO

SAO is a tooth anatomy library for exocad DentalCAD, intended to give the designer a ready morphological starting point. The library covers tooth shapes that can be used as the initial proposal during crown, bridge and full-anatomy restoration design.

In the DentalCAD workflow the morphology is positioned on the preparation and then refined with the standard sculpting and adaptation tools. Because the teeth share a common stylistic character, the result remains harmonious across multi-unit restorations.

It can be downloaded and applied in everyday CAD modelling tasks. SAO is suitable for technicians looking for a neutral reference morphology that does not impose an overly distinctive style. It works equally well for single posterior crowns and for larger anterior cases.
