Other Rigel

Rigel is a tooth anatomy library designed for exocad DentalCAD and used as a morphological reference during the modelling stage. It contains a coherent set of tooth shapes that the designer can select as the initial proposal for crowns, bridges and full-anatomy restorations.

Inside the DentalCAD workflow the morphology is dropped onto the prepared tooth position and then adapted to the occlusion, neighbouring teeth and antagonists. Because the set is consistent across the arch, it helps maintain a uniform stylistic character in multi-unit cases.

It can be downloaded and used straight away in everyday CAD work. Rigel suits technicians who want a clean reference morphology that can be quickly individualised. It is equally appropriate for routine single crowns and for more extensive prosthetic plans.
