hd is a high-definition tooth anatomy library for exocad DentalCAD designed for cases where the natural surface texture of enamel should be reproduced directly from the CAD proposal. In the DentalCAD workflow the library is chosen in the tooth selection step and supplies morphologies with crisp marginal ridges, articulated cusp slopes and visible perikymata-like surface micro-relief.

This level of detail is useful for monolithic zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations where staining alone has to convey vitality, since the underlying geometry already produces convincing light play. The library suits anterior aesthetic cases and full-arch monolithic work where individual characterisation per unit would be too time-consuming to model from scratch.

It also helps less experienced designers reach a lifelike result quickly. The library can be downloaded and used in DentalCAD alongside other anatomical sets.
